The VMAs were great for a couple of reasons. The first was Kanye doing his award show thing; and the second was a bit more unexpected but just as cool, Lil’ Mama getting her T-Pain on and crashing Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s performance of “Empire State of Mind.” Actually, the Lil’ Mama stunt made me mad. She ruined that moment while Kanye made the first moment (albeit, while ruining it for Swift). That being said, Kanye’s reaction may have been a poor one but behind it was a stern principle, the best should win. New York Magazine does a great job of defending Kanye.
